Superstar running back Derrick Henry has played his entire NFL career with the Tennessee Titans up to this point after the team selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. But when he takes the field next season, it will be with a new team.
According to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, Derrick Henry will be joining the Baltimore Ravens for next season as he has agreed to a two-year contract with the team.
“Free-agent Derrick Henry is signing a two-year, $16 million deal worth up to $20 million, including $9 million fully guaranteed in the first year with the Baltimore Ravens, sources tell ESPN.,” Schefter said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this is some pretty significant news in the NFL free agency market, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
My goodness Eric 😳
It’s a great day to he a wide receiver for the Ravens. 1 on 1 matchups for DAYS! https://t.co/0ZD7088w6q

Maybe he’s not what he once was, but he’s still a bad boy. Steelers better find a good linebacker and a little DL help. Smashmouth in the AFC North until the end of time. I hate the Ravens. https://t.co/WjCAK1H6n4

I’m really happy for Derrick Henry. He deserves so much better than the last two years.
Hope he puts together two really solid seasons, hits all his incentives, cements himself as a Hall of Famer, loses to the Titans in the AFC Championship twice, and retires a Titan. https://t.co/1LDBhE35cm

What’s the record for team rushing yards? Because Baltimore is going to smash it. https://t.co/J45ChQFiSq

Henry will now team up with reigning MVP Lamar Jackson, who is one of the most prolific running quarterbacks in NFL history. With both Jackson and Henry in the same backfield, it will be interesting to see what the Baltimore rushing attack looks like next season.
