The Las Vegas Raiders have made it very clear that they intended to bring in some reinforcements at the quarterback position this offseason, and they did just that when the legal tampering period opened on Monday afternoon, adding veteran quarterback Garnder Minshew.
According to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Las Vegas Raiders are signing veteran quarterback Gardner Minshew to a two-year deal to compete with Aidan O’Connell for the team’s starting quarterback role.
“Compensation update: The #Raiders are signing QB Gardner Minshew to a two-year, $25 million deal that includes $15M fully guaranteed, per sources. Strong money for their potential 2024 starting QB,” Pelissero wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Minshew began his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars where he emerged as the starter for the team in his rookie seasons. Since then, he’s bounced around the league as a veteran backup with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts, starting games for both teams.
Minshew has started 37 games throughout his NFL career with a 15-22 record as a starter.
