Last season, the Las Vegas Raiders started rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell for most of the season after deciding to bench veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. But while O’Connell did show some promise in his starts, the team has made it very clear that they intend to bring in a new quarterback this offseason, and it sounds like there is one available option they are targeting: Russell Wilson.

According to Cecil Lammey of DenverSports.com, there is mutual interest between Russell Wilson and the Raiders, as the veteran quarterback is “open” to the idea of signing with the team and has support from those close to him in that decision.

“I’m told Russell Wilson is open to singing with the #Raiders – and he’s being advised to do so by those close to him. #Broncos could be facing their former quarterback 2X per year,” Lammey wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this would be a pretty significant move for the team if they did sign Wilson as their next quarterback, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

We’ll have to see whether or not Wilson lands in Las Vegas
