The Denver Broncos officially decided to part ways with quarterback Russell Wilson last week, meaning he will be in search of a new team once the new league year begins this offseason. But it sounds like there’s a chance that he could even be staying in the same division.

According to Cecil Lammey of DenverSports.com, Russell Wilson is “open” to the idea of signing with the Las Vegas Raiders – a division rival of the Denver Broncos.

“I’m told Russell Wilson is open to singing with the #Raiders – and he’s being advised to do so by those close to him. #Broncos could be facing their former quarterback 2X per year,” Lammey wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

The Raiders started rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell for most of the 2023 season after benching Jimmy Garoppolo. But even though he showed some promise, the team has since made it clear that they intend to add a new quarterback this offseason.

Obviously, this would be a pretty significant move if they did sign Wilson, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

We’ll have to see what ultimately happens.
