The dancers above are actually a reason to LIKE the Miami Heat. However, when the Heat lost to the Celtics 2 nights ago a bar literally paid the price for the Big Three’s pathetic showing.
A Hollywood bar offered to pay the tab of everyone in the house if the Heat fell to the Celtics actually ended up losing more than $4,000 in receipts with Miami’s 88 to 80 loss in Boston.
Whiskey Tango All American Bar & Grill made the offer this week, saying that if the team led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were to lose, they would cover the tab (up to $25) of anyone who had signed up 30 minutes before game time. At tip-off the list had 164 customers on it, according to kitchen manager Dean Reedy.
The bar’s owner said Whiskey Tango remained confident in the Heat and that the offer stands for all regular season games.
Good luck, for myself I just hate the Heat that much more.
