Unlike many teams throughout the NFL, the Buffalo Bills do need a new starting quarterback as starting quarterback Josh Allen has established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the entire league. But it sounds like the team is still considering a move to bolster the position and add depth behind Allen.
According to a report from Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the Buffalo Bills agreed to terms with Mitchell Trubisky to bring him on as a free agent quarterback.
“The #Bills have agreed to terms with QB Mitch Trubisky to return to Buffalo, sources say. @ByTimGraham reported they were in talks. Now a done deal. The #Steelers cut Trubisky early to give him a shot to find his next gig before free agency begins. He’s done just that.” Garafolo said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Trubisky was initially selected by the Chicago Bears as the No. 2 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft and served as the team’s starter for three seasons. He even earned Pro Bowl honors in 2018.
Obviously, Trubisky would not be the starter in Buffalo unless something happened to Allen, but the news still led to a lot of reactions on social media.
The Bills clearing up all that cap space and this being the first move would be objectively hilarious. https://t.co/fFOqkuUZbr

So that’s why they’ve been releasing all those players…. https://t.co/vF5qoKwdns

Fine with it. Needed a better option than Kyle Allen https://t.co/FwDgTuEw9B

They could have 64 year old Jim Kelly be the backup QB for all I care. If Allen misses significant time, the season is over no matter who they find to fill that position. https://t.co/UsJwgHWYwL

This is the final indicator of how broken the Bills are. Heading over to Ross to shop for QBs. https://t.co/aMNeIaCgVZ

So it looks like Buffalo has a new quarterback.
