Taylor Swift, Donald Trump and Joe Biden Taylor Swift, Donald Trump and Joe Biden

As Donald Trump and Joe Biden get ready to square off in the 2024 presidential election, it’s pretty clear that each of them is seeking the approval of one very important person: Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift was already one of the most famous and popular people on the planet before this year, but her superstardom soared even more after she began dating Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce a few months ago, bringing her even more mass appeal and reach across many different demographics. And over the past few weeks, it’s pretty clear that both Donald Trump and Joe Biden crave her support.

It started when Trump made the case that Swift should support him in the upcoming presidential election because he signed the Music Modernization Act during his time in office.

“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will. There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

Trump even shared his affinity for Travis Kelce as a reason why Swift should support him.

“Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis [Kelce], even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!” Trump said.

Biden also recently expressed his desire for Swift’s support.

During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers last week, Biden was asked about a conspiracy suggesting Swift’s relationship with Kelce was staged to bring her more publicity before she ultimately endorsed Biden for president. When asked to confirm or deny this theory, Biden joked that it was classified, but he did point out that he has had Swift’s support in the past.

“I will tell you, she did endorse me in 2020,” Biden said.

Swift makes no secret of her left-leaning stance politically and socially, so it makes sense that she would support Biden. But it’s clear that both men desperately want her support.
