Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady is widely considered the greatest and most accomplished player in NFL history after he won an unprecedented seven Super Bowl championships throughout his career and put up some ridiculous postseason numbers. But as good as he was, he never really impressed anybody with his speed and athleticism. But it sounds like he’s trying to change that.
On Wednesday, Tom Brady made a pretty insane announcement as he revealed that he will be trying to run the 40-yard dash once again in an attempt to finish with a better time than the 5.28-second time he posted at the 2000 NFL Combine.
“24 years ago, I ran a 5.28 [second] 40-yard dash,” Tom Brady said in a video posted to X, the social media website formerly known as Twitter. “Working out today – maybe, just maybe we’ll give the 40 one more shot.”

“Drop your predictions…” Brady said in his post.
Shockingly, the vast majority of people seem to think that Brady will run a faster 40-yard dash now as a retired 46-year old man than he did as he prepared to begin his NFL career as a 22-year-old.

We’ll have to see whether or not Brady can break his old time when he runs the 40-yard dash on Thursday.
