Over the past several months, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop sensation Taylor Swift have become one of the most iconic couples on the planet, thrusting Kelce into the spotlight in ways he wasn’t used to and putting new scrutiny and attention on him. But even though the high-profile relationship comes with its challenges, Kelce is doing everything he can to make sure it doesn’t affect his football career.
During an interview before the Super Bowl LVIII showdown with the San Francisco 49ers, Travis Kelce made it clear that he does not want to ever give people a reason to think that his relationship with Taylor Swift could be a distraction to his professional career.
“Well, the biggest thing for me is … I never want the people in the building to ever have the idea that I’m not focused on the game, I’m not focused on being my best at football and not having all my focus and all my attention to my craft and making sure that I’m accountable in the biggest game of our lives,” Kelce said according to Us Weekly.
So far, Kelce has seemingly done a good job balancing the new relationship with his professional career. After all, he just won a Super Bowl. We’ll have to see if he can keep it up.
