This year’s Super Bowl may be played in Las Vegas, but that doesn’t mean that the players from either team will be allowed to hit the casinos before the game. But after the game, it will be allowed.
According to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, players from the Kansas City Chief and the San Francisco 49ers will be banned from any form of gambling leading up to the Super Bowl. But after the game, they can hit the casinos all they want.
“#49ers and #Chiefs players are barred from any form of gambling leading up to Super Bowl LVIII here in Las Vegas, but sources say the NFL and NFLPA have agreed that restriction ends after the game. In other words, all bets are off for postgame celebrations Sunday night,” Pelissero wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Players on non-Super Bowl teams traveling to Las Vegas are permitted to play casino table games and participate in website or app gambling while on personal time.
As always, betting on NFL games, including the Super Bowl, is strictly prohibited.

So it sounds like if players want to hit The Strip to celebrate a big win, they’ll be allowed to do that.
