New Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore already knows what it takes to lead his team to victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes in the rivalry showdown as he filled in for suspended Jim Harbaugh and led Michigan to victory over the Buckeyes this year. And he made it pretty clear what that meant to him.
During a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, Sherrone Moore opened up about what the win over Ohio State meant to him.
“It meant everything, I mean just winning that game regardless of whether you’re the head coach or the offensive coordinator, o-line coach, defensive coordinator. It means everything, that’s everything we work for all year,” Moore said on the show according to On3.
And it’s pretty clear that the rivalry will remain a priority for Michigan as he takes over as the team’s full-time head coach.
“That’s the standard we uphold ourselves and that program and will continue to do so. We know everything we do and we work for we’re trying to beat them every single day. So it meant everything and that’s the game we work for and was super excited for that moment for our players, for our fans, for the university to continue what we’ve been doing and we look to continue to uphold that standard,” Moore said.
The coaches may change in The Game, but the rivalry will always be fierce.
