As Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce prepares for the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, one of his old social media posts has resurfaced. And while it’s not likely to get him in any real trouble or cause any real controversy, it does send a pretty brutal message to a Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback.
In a post on Jan. 10, 2011, Travis Kelce took to Twitter and called Peyton Manning a “bumb” – presumably in an attempt to call him a “bum.”
“Since everyones on twitter and talking bout football… I’ll take this time to style on Peyton Manning for being a bumb!!!” Kelce said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

It’s worth noting that there weren’t even NFL games going on at this time, much less one featuring Peyton Manning. The people “talking bout football” that Kelce referred to in his post were likely watching the BCS National Championship game between the Auburn Tigers and the Oregon Ducks.
It’s not exactly clear what Kelce had against Manning back in 2011, but he felt strongly enough about his feelings to share them with the world back then.
