After transferring from Ole Miss to Ohio State this month, new Buckeye running back Quinshon Judkins is now stepping into the fiercest rivalry in all of college football. But it sounds like he’s ready for it.
Quinshon Judkins has played in a rivalry game before as Ole Miss fell to Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl this past college football season, but Judkins knows that what he experienced in that game is nothing like what he’s learned about the Ohio State vs. Michigan rivalry.
During his first interview with the media since signing with Ohio State, Judkins had a pretty clear message to Michigan, telling everybody that he is “excited to beat the team up north.”
“Oh, it’s big time,” Judkins said of the rivalry with Michigan. “I’ve always heard a lot about it. But to be here, you see how big it is. They’ve got the clock in there with the countdown (to The Game). It’s serious. I’m excited to beat the team up north and that’s what we’re working toward.”
Ohio State has now lost three consecutive games to the archrival Michigan Wolverines in the series and the Buckeyes will be looking to players like Judkins to help them turn the tide in the rivalry back in Ohio State’s favor.
It’s clear that Judkins is ready to make his mark on the historic rivalry and put the Buckeyes back on top in the fall.
