On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Chargers officially named Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh their next head coach. And it sounds like his brother John Harbaugh, who is the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, is happy for his brother.
During a press conference this week, John Harbaugh was asked for his thoughts on his brother becoming the next head coach of the Chargers. And after a cheeky response initially, he then expressed how happy he was for his brother.
“My thoughts are, we play them next year,” said with a smile. “We’re looking forward to all of it. I’m just very happy for him. Proud of him, excited for him, excited for his family. … I’ll say this, the Chargers just got themselves one great coach.”

And it sounds like the Harbaugh family will be following Jim Harbaugh to Los Angeles, as well.
“My mom and dad told me that he called back in the evening and he found out that all of his kids, starting with Addie and Katie, had their bags packed already,” John Harbaugh said. “They were ready to go. So they’re excited, too. It’s gonna be great. Well-deserved.”
It will certainly be interesting to see this sibling rivalry reignited in the NFL.
