During this weekend’s loss to the Detroit Lions, the Los Angeles Rams lost one of their key players after a low hit from Lions safety Kerby Joseph resulted in a significant knee injury to starting tight end Tyler Higbee. And in a recently surfaced video, it’s clear that Rams star quarterback Matthew Stafford was not happy about the hit or the way Joseph celebrated it.
In a video that’s since gone viral on social media, Matthew Stafford immediately confronted Kerby Joseph after the hit on Tyler Higbee. While Stafford didn’t seem to necessarily take issue with this specific hit, saying “That’s a good hit,” he did call out Joseph for the way he plays the game, calling him “dirty as [expletive].”
“Hey! Hey! Hey, That’s a good hit, but you’re dirty as [expletive] though and you know it. You’re dirty as [expletive]. It’s been on tape. I’ve seen it. It’s been on tape,” Stafford said.

It’s not immediately clear what Stafford is referring to when discussing Joseph’s style of play, but it’s clear that he takes exception to the way that he plays that game.
For what it’s worth, Joseph said after the game that he did not intend to injure Higbee with the hit.
