Over the past few months, Ted Cruz has proven to be bad luck for the sports team that he has supported after the Houston Astros lost every game he attended during their postseason run – including Game 7 of the World Series – and the Texas Longhorns lost the College Football Playoff semifinal game to the Washington Huskies, which he also attended. And another team appears to have suffered his curse this week.
Though Ted Cruz does not appear to have attended this weekend’s playoff game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers, he did post his support for the Cowboys on social media ahead of the game.
“Let’s go [Dallas Cowboys],” Cruz said in a post on X, the social media website formerly known as Twitter, before adding the hashtag “#SeizeEverything.”
Let’s go @dallascowboys!

It probably seemed like a safe move to support the Cowboys in this game given that they were heavy favorites and hadn’t lost at home in 16 games, but obviously, that’s not how it played out.
Dallas lost by a final score of 48-32 in a game that was actually more lopsided than the final score, giving one of Cruz’s teams yet another disappointing finish in the postseason.
It is worth noting that Cruz also threw his support behind the Houston Texans before their dominant win over the Cleveland Browns, so at least he has that.
