Throughout this NFL season, the relationship between Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce and global pop star Taylor Swift has become one of the biggest stories throughout the league as Swift has routinely been seen attending games in support of her new boyfriend – and has attracted a lot of attention as a result. She’s been largely embraced by Chiefs fans, but Brett Favre seems to think that could change in a hurry if things don’t go well.
During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Brett Favre had a pretty brutal warning for Taylor Swift about how Kansas City Chiefs fans will react if the team does not perform well this weekend, suggesting that fans will blame her if the team does not make or win the Super Bowl this season.
“If they don’t win it or get to the Super Bowl, people are going to say, ‘That’s why,'” Favre told TMZ this week.
The Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champions after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s Super Bowl, but they haven’t been anywhere near as dominant this season as previous years – especially on the offensive side of the ball.
We’ll have to see whether or not the team can make a run at the Super Bowl this season, or whether Swift will get blamed if they don’t, as Favre warns.
