There once was a time when Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill had close relationships with former Kansas City Chiefs teammates Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. But it seems like those days are over after how “famous” both Kelce and Mahomes have become recently.
During a press conference this week, Tyreek Hill was asked about his relationship with former teammates Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, and he made it clear that he hasn’t really been in contact with either player recently.
“I haven’t texted Mahomes since they beat our [expletive],” Hill said of Mahomes, referring to the Chiefs’ 21-14 win over the Dolphins earlier this season.
Hill said that he has reached out to Kelce since then, but has not received a response from his former teammate.
“I texted Kelce. He still hasn’t texted me back,” Hill said of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. “He’s probably still on his Taylor Swift thing.”
Hill had a pretty simple explanation for why he thinks his former teammates aren’t interested in talking to him.
“Those guys are too famous for me now, I guess,” Hill said.
While he hasn’t been able to reach them on the phone, Hill will have a chance to reunite with his former teammates on field this week when his team takes on the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason.
