Dallas Cowboys superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons has not drawn a holding penalty in nearly 10 full games as many offensive lineman have gotten away with blatant holding that has gone uncalled. And it sounds like Parsons is a bit frustrated about it.
During a recent press conference, Micah Parsons claimed that he thinks the NFL needs to have “a long conversation” about the league’s officiating this offseason, suggesting that there should even be a way for some missed calls to be reviewed. Though he understands that the league values offense more than defense.
“Maybe, but I definitely think there’s a lot of biased things around the league and who they want to call things on and how they call and who they call it [on],” Parsons said according to Pro Football Talk. “I think [the NFL] should have a long conversation this offseason. The film is out there. It’s something they need to look at. A lot of these calls should be [reviewable]. These flags are game-changing plays. But it’s an offensive league. They want to keep as much points on the board as possible and as many drives alive as possible. It is what it is. At the end of the day, you have to still play.”
Parsons is certainly not alone in his criticism. We’ll have to see if it leads to any action from the league during the offseason.
