Despite a third consecutive loss to their arch-rival Michigan Wolverines and missing out on a conference title and a trip to the College Football Playoff, the Ohio State Buckeyes have made no changes to their coaching staff. But there’s a chance that those changes could still be coming.
During a recent press conference, Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day said that the team will “evaluate” potential changes to the coaching staff after the team’s Cotton Bowl showdown with the Missouri Tigers this week.
“We’ve got this bowl game to play. And we’re always going to evaluate it,” Ryan Day said. “And if there’s any updates then I’ll give them at the right time. But we’re always going to evaluate it after every season and go from there.”
Even though Ohio State had a largely successful season, winning 11 games with the only loss coming by one score on the road to the top-ranked team in the College Football Playoff, the team has now failed to beat Michigan or win a Big Ten title for a third consecutive season, leaving some fans quite restless.
We’ll have to see whether or not Day ultimately makes any changes to the coaching staff.
