The Ohio State Buckeyes have lost their past two matchups with the archrival Michigan Wolverines, and they’re set to meet for a big-time matchup at the end of the month with College Football Playoff and Big Ten championship hopes on the line. And it sounds like Ohio State head coach Ryan Day is ready.

During his postgame press conference after Ohio State’s 38-3 blowout win over Michigan State, Ryan Day made it clear just how important the upcoming matchup with Michigan is to this team, revealing that the team has been eagerly awaiting the rivalry showdown.

“It’s the biggest game of the year every year,” Day said. “That’s not any different. We’re just gonna go back, watch the film next week and we know what’s coming down the tubes. We’ve just gotta keep grinding to get better and our guys gotta continue to stay focused one week at a time. That’s it. It’s all about a climax at the end of the season. Our guys are working towards that and looking forward to that for a long time.”

Ohio State will be looking to avenge the past two losses to the Wolverines and likely punch their ticket to the College Football Playoff in the process.
