The Washington Capitals are on a Western Canadian road trip, so naturally, goalie and Lloydminster native Braden Holtby sang some country songs at a local bar.
Armed with a guitar and his voice, Holtby played a set in Whistler, Vancouver at The Dubh Linn Gate. His Capitals teammates – including Alex Ovechkin – cheer him on as he croons to a crowd.

Its sort of unfair Holtby possesses all-world talent in the crease and also is a solid musician in his own right. It’s also awesome to see the Capitals enjoying themselves with a night out of team bonding.
Holtby needs to take his musical talents on the ice and sing the national anthems before a game in Canada. It would be the most fitting use of both his talents.
