Mayweather Promotions boxer Geronta Davis was arrested on Friday morning after allegedly getting in a fight with Silver Spring’s Ricardo Jose Rodriguez after a dispute about a $10,000 club bill.
Per the Baltimore Sun, Davis got into the argument at 3. A.M. and after exchanging punches both ben were arrested and charged with disorderly affray.
Davis was allegedly seen arguing in the 1700 block of M St. N.W. about 3 a.m. with Ricardo Jose Rodriguez of Silver Spring, police said.
The argument escalated when both men began punching each other, according to police.
Police arrested both men and charged them with disorderly affray.
Davis, who’s got an impressive 20-0 record with 19 TKOs, was stripped of his WBA Featherweight title for failing to make weight before a 2017 fight (he eventually won it back).
He left an ominous tweet saying media was going to “paint me a bad picture every time.”
