Colin Kaepernick is one of the new faces of Nike, and some people aren’t happy about it.
On Monday, Colin Kaepernick was named the face of Nike’s 30th anniversary ‘Just Do It’ campaign. Kaepernick is a controversial figure among those who misinterpret his peaceful protesting as disrespecting the flag.
So, surprise, surprise, people started getting really mad at Nike for the new ad campaign with some going as far burning their Nike shoes.
I’m not sure the most effective form of protest is burning your already purchased Nike gear. If you really made at Nike and want to make a difference, donate your apparel to people who are in need. Burning it accomplishes nothing besides making the person doing so look like complete morons.
