If DeMarcus Cousins’ Instagram page is an indication, the upcoming free agent center won’t be returning to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Many noticed when Cousins unfollowed the Pelicans on IG and claimed he did it because “I’m grown”.

Bizarrely, Cousins followed that up by following Los Angeles Lakers forward Julius Randle and potential Laker, current free agent Paul George.
Putting on my tinfoil hat, if we’re to read deeply into Cousins Instagram activity, it appears the Lakers could potentially be lining up to form their own super team with Cousins and George. Throw in Randle, Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball and that’s a heck of a starting line up.
Regardless of the Lakers noise, it’s not great news for Pelicans fans. Unfollowing a team is a clear sign he’s being dismissive about potentially returning in free agency. That would be a shame considering how well Anthony Davis and Cousins gelled when the latter remained healthy.
