Kansas lost big to Villanova in the Final Four on Sunday, which led Lawrence Police (in Kansas) hilariously struggling to find answers on Twitter.
The Lawrence Police department tweeted throughout the 95-79 loss and you could feel them trying their best to keep fans/Kansas folks happy.
An order from the Lawrence Police Department- Everybody change your shirt at halftime. The one you're wearing isn't lucky.

No, we will not be responding to any "vicious animal" calls in San Antonio. Wildcats can be tamed.

The Lawrence Police department tried to joke through their sadness.
We've deployed our officers out to Massachusetts Street. Roughly one officer for every 3 pointer Nova has hit, soooo about 200.

They even offered solace during the dark times.
We were hoping to high five tonight, but if you need a hug from an officer downtown tonight, make sure you ask first.

They were haunted by their tournament past against Villanova.
This tweet from 2016 is too real right now, but we'll see if San Antonio PD will let us go down there and stop Monday's game from happening. https://t.co/Emp4VUOk9I

Ultimately, the Twitter account told Kansas fans to keep their heads held high.
OK KU fans, walk out with your heads held high and know we'll be high fiving on Mass Street again next year. It's Lawrence, Kansas and that's what we do. #GrieveSafely #DriveSober

Would the Twitter account been a lot more fun if the Jayhawks won? Sure. However, the team was blown out and the Lawrence Police Department did the best job possible to keep things entertaining, informative and helpful. Whoever’s running that account deserves a raise – and a good night’s sleep.
