The University of Alabama Crimson Tide just won another national title, but the actions of their star running back are drawing attention.
Before the Crimson Tide went onto the field, running back, Bo Scarbrough yells out a phrase. At the time of the incident, it was said that he yelled “f*** Trump.” After the game though on Twitter, Scarbrough says he yelled “f*** Georgia.”
On first listen it sounds like Trump but on repeated listens, it now sounds indecipherable.
If y’all really listen I said Georgia smh about y’all people in this world https://t.co/VXKFBk7Vnh
— Bo Scarbrough (@starbo06) January 9, 2018
Either way, both are complete non-issues, but the storylines around the incident write themselves.
For those unaware, President Donald Trump decided to attend the 2018 College Football National Championship. He took part in the pregame festivities and was even present on the field. The response from the crowd was tepid at best.
It isn’t out of the realm of possibility that Scarbrough uttered those words and is now trying to cover his tracks.
It’ll now go down as he said/she said scenario now. Looking back on the game years from now, it will be another layer in the many weird moments in the all-SEC title game.
