According to Dan Barreiro of KFAN-AM in Minnesota, The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached an agreement that will finally have Rubio in a Timberwolves jersey next season.
The 20 year old Rubio was drafted with the 5th pick in in the 2009 NBA Draft. He was the first player ever to be drafted that was born in the ’90’s. The T-wolves draft choice gave them the ability to buyout Rubio’s contract from his former team, DKV Joventut. Rubio backed out of the deal and has been playing with Regal FC Barcelona in the Spanish basketball league.
