The Shaq Attack heads to Havana.
Shaquille O’Neal has accomplished quite a lot in his life; 15 trips to the NBA All-Star game, four championships, and an Olympic gold medal are all numbers few can attest. He also has his own soda and a PhD. So, yeah- he’s done a bit more than you.
One thing most people probably never expected to see the big man do, however, is become an ambassador to one of the most closed-off countries in the last few decades, as Cuba and the U.S. continue to awkwardly get drinks with each other from time to time. The Big Aristotle is doing it on his own terms, though, as he helps with a basketball clinic and plays with the kids that come to test his skills.
It’s always fun to see someone like Shaq doing such a great thing like this, as his charm and ability to connect with helps to ease the world just a bit more. Maybe he loves doing it, or maybe he’s still trying to make up for the travesty that is Shaq Fu.
