You Can Now Buy the Lakers Jim Buss’ Penthouse Across From Staples Center For $8.8 Million

There are plenty of rumors circulating the old Internet these days about the future of the Lakers leadership under Jeanie Buss. One of those rumors has Jim Buss and Mitch Kupchak being out of a gig in Los Angeles. We definitely aren’t going to read too much into Jim Buss listing hiss penthouse for sale, but it is worth noting…

The penthouse is located in downtown Los Angeles in the Ritz-Carlton Residences at LA Live, which is directly across the street from Staples Center. According to the LA Times, Buss bought the penthouse in 2013 for $4.05 million and is now asking $8.8 million. That is not a terrible return on investment. So if you are interested in a 4,300 square foot penthouse with decent views of downtown Los Angeles, just cut the check and it is all yours.
