The NFL released their yearly injury report on Friday, and there is a reason it was released on a Friday. Within the six-slide deck, the most eye-popping statistic is the fact 271 ‘incidents of concussion’ took place during the 2015 preseason and regular season. It is hard to say the exact number of players which suffered concussions as there is the chance that a single player was concussed more than once.
Another stunning revelation in this data is the fact that 81 of the concussions HAPPENED DURING THE PRESEASON.

The PowerPoint presentation also details the impact source for the concussion and not surprisingly helmet to helmet hits account for over half of them.
