Bill Belichick’s black eye is an enigma.
The Patriots head coach showed up to his Wednesday morning press conference with a random black eye and gave no explanation for it. Instead, he simply said, “I think I’ll live.”
Thursday morning, the black eye was very much still there, and ESPN’s Michele Steele wanted to press him on the matter even more by asking how it felt and how it happened. Belichick wasn’t having any of it, though, and gave an absolutely classic grumpy Belichick response complete with a death stare:
