Many people hoped this day would come and it finally has; NBC has announced a Friends reunion show.
New announcement – #FriendsReunion! #NBCUTCA
— NBC (@nbc) January 13, 2016
The reunion has been announced as a two hour special that will honor director James Burrows, according to HollywoodLife.com.
Friends has been off air since 2004 where it capped off 10 seasons on the air with a finale that was watched by 52.5 million people. Per MentalFloss.com, those numbers put it at the fifth most watched series finale in TV history behind the likes of M*A*S*H, Cheers, The Fugitive, and Seinfeld.
The show made a resurgence as of late after being picked up by Netflix for the cost of about $500,000 per episode.
Sadly, that also means that we have to watch two more hours of Ross whining about everything.
