We have our first major trade of the 2015-2016 NHL season! According, first, to Renaud Lavoie and Bob McKenzie, the Philadelphia Flyers have traded aging forward Vinny Lecavalier and defenseman Luke Schenn to the Los Angeles Kings for center Jordan Weal and a third-round draft pick.
Lecavalier and L Schenn to L.A. Further details to come.

Final details of the trade are still unfolding but it looks as though the Flyers will be eating some of the money. Have to wonder if this deal will set off a chain reaction of deals as there have been rumors of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators talking to each other as well.
