Current Michigan coach and former 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh took a rather not-so-subtle jab at the coaching staff in San Francisco after the Wolverines’ victory over Rutgers this weekend.
While he didn’t call anyone out by name, it’s not too hard to figure out what Harbaugh was referencing when he said this (to laughs in the audience):
“We train our quarterbacks to throw to people that aren’t covered, even if it’s a running play. I was watching an NFL game where they didn’t cover a receiver and the quarterback handed it off, and got maligned by scribes and pundits and so-called experts for not throwing it to him.”
There is no way that Harbaugh wasn’t talking about this play that took place during the Week 8 game between the 49ers and the St. Louis Rams.

Keep taking those jabs Harbaugh. Judging by how the 49ers organization forced him out after last season and how the Niners have performed so far this year, he’s earned that right.
