It was a scary scene briefly at Citi Field during the team’s press conference to announce manager Terry Collins’ contract extension. Mets general manager Sandy Alderson briefly collapsed when answering a question about the health, ironically, of outfielder Juan Lagares.
Alderson, 67, arose after a few moments and joked with reporters about it before leaving the room. There is no video of the incident at this time:
Alderson was asked about Juan Lagares seeing a doctor today. He paused to think how to answer, turned white, and slowly started to fall.

Scary moment at #Mets press conference. Alderson fainted, collapsed to the ground, but came to after a few moments. Left under own power. — Anthony DiComo (@AnthonyDiComo) November 4, 2015
Sandy joked afterward “OK, where were we?” But questions obviously stopped. He sat in a chair for a moment, then left room.
