Not only does this 14-year-old get away with running onto the pitch, he is rewarded with a Rugby World Cup medal. Although that scenario makes zero sense, this is a pretty cool story and video.
Following New Zealand’s 34-17 Rugby World Cup Final victory over Australia, a boy bolted onto the pitch in hopes of reaching All Blacks’ player Sonny Bill Williams. Unsurprisingly, he was smoked by a security guard before reaching the line of players. But instead of simply walking past the excited child, Williams gives him a hug and his medal.
“I was walking around doing a lap of honour with the boys and a young fella came running out and he got smoked by the security guard, like full-on tackled him,” Williams said after the odd hoopla. “I felt sorry for the little fella.
