In what is probably the most predictable move of the century, the Houston Texans have released Ryan Mallett. Mallett was traded for last season and was given a chance to win the starting job this season but ultimately lost out to Brian Hoyer. Mallett was able to start a few games this year but was never really able to secure the job.
Mallett is going to be best known in Houston for being horrible at being on time. Mallett overslept a practice during training camp, and most recently, missed the team flight to Miami because he was stuck in traffic. Hopefully Mallett invests in a stronger alarm system and a driver where ever he ends up next.
