The never ending saga in the NFL not named Deflategate is the Washington Redskins’ name controversy. Over the past couple years, a variety of things have been done to try to get owner Dan Snyder to change the hated name, but he has yet to budge. The Philadelphia Eagles have apparently chosen their side in the feud by taking the Redskin name off their media guide.
In the picture shown below (and using the adjacent media guides as reference), you can see that Redskins has been replaced by Washington while the other two names on the media guides are the teams’ nicknames. If more and more NFL teams start to do things like this, it is seemingly only a matter of time before the name is finally changed.
