Joseph Patterson has been found guilty of murdering Adrian Peterson’s two-year-old son Tyrese Ruffin in Oct. 2013.
Patterson was charged with second-degree murder, first degree manslaughter, and aggravated barrery against a person under the age of three. He was found guilty of all counts and is awaiting his sentencing, according to the Argus Leader.

Peterson never met his son and found out about him shortly before the murder, though that doesn’t make this entire situation any less devastating.
