The Cardinals took down the Brewers on Thursday night, but the game was overshadowed by an incredibly scary moment during the top of the third inning. Brewers pitcher Jimmy Nelson took a line drive directly to his head courtesy of a Tommy Pham line drive and immediately hit the dirt. Nelson somehow managed to walk off the field under his own power, and not surprisingly had to leave the game.
Incredibly, a CT scan showed only a bruise. We are very happy to hear it wasn’t anything worse, especially after seeing the above video.
#Brewers announce Jimmy Nelson's CT scan shows bruise only. Will remain in hospital overnight for observation. Good news.
