As reported by Jay Glazer, the Philadelphia Eagles were able to offload quarterback Matt Barkley onto the Arizona Cardinals.

Adam Schefter reports that the trade is for a potential seventh-round pick.
And so now, if Eagles carry three QBs, Tim Tebow makes it. But Matt Barkley is headed to AZ for a conditional 7th-rd pick.

And while the trading of a potential third-string quarterback usually garners a “who cares” from the majority of the NFL’s fan base, the move has likely paved the way for television personality Tim Tebow to make the Eagles roster.
As Bleeding Green Nation points out, while the Eagles could decide to carry two quarterbacks onto the 53 man roster, Chip Kelly has kept three quarterbacks on the roster during his tenure as the Eagles head coach. Tebow will likely sit behind Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez on the Eagles depth chart but his ability to scramble may add a wrinkle or two to the Eagles playbook if Kelly is feeling particularly feisty on any given Sunday.
Improbably, Tebow Time is primed to make a comeback. May the football gods be kind to all of us and make this a reality.
