A recent football game between Hawaiian high school squads from Kahuku and Kaiser featured a rather amazingly improbable punt return.
Kahuku’s Stokes Botelho’s 65 yard punt return falls somewhere in between being awful and being utterly hilarious. It’s awful because Botelho actually had the ball stripped from his hands during his return. It’s hilarious because the ball somehow found its way back into Botelho’s possession after it seemed to bobble between every person on the field.
According to Scoring Live, Botelho was ruled out at the four yard line and Kahuku was able to capitalize on the excellent field position with a touchdown run on the next play. They would go on to beat Kaiser by a score of 34-3.
