Much like the mindbogglingly dragged-out scandal that it was born out of, the infamous Deflategate courtroom sketch of Tom Brady by artist Jane Rosenberg is still receiving a ton of attention.
Unsurprisingly, after images of her sketch went viral, Rosenberg received plenty of offers from people who wanted to buy the horrifying rendition of the Patriots quarterback. None of the offers came with an attached dollar amount but that may not matter at the moment. Rosenberg has not decided what to do with the piece yet.
“I don’t have a clue what it’s truly worth. This isn’t a normal sketch I’m selling to some assistant U.S. attorney. It might be a different arena entirely — sports memorabilia.”
However, it should be noted that art collectors and internet meme aficionados were not the only people interested in the Brady-as-Cryptkeeper drawing. The sketch has also drawn the interest of The Sports Museum in Boston, which wants to display the piece for a month.
The Sports Museum in Boston has also asked if Rosenberg would loan the Brady sketch for a month, along with some of her drawings from the trial of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, she said.
If Rosenberg decides to keep the piece, at least the internet was able to have a ton of fun with it first.
