Eury Perez made a nice diving grab in the fifth inning of Tuesday night’s game against the Giants. However, he soon realized that diving doesn’t always mean the ball lands in your glove.
After robbing Brandon Crawford of a hit, another line drive came his way off the bat of Ehire Adrianza. Perez dove in an attempt to make virtually the same catch as before and came up holding his glove in the air to signify that he made another web gem. The problem, though, was that the ball actually was rolling away.
A for effort, Perez.
