Gilbert Arenas decided to write an essay about LeBron James via Instagram on Wednesday night.
The former NBA All-Star posted a photo of LeBron with an extremely long caption explaining why he’ll never be Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan.
If you decided to skip reading all of that, we don’t blame you. Basically what Arenas was trying to say was that LeBron should play more selfishly and since he doesn’t, he’ll always need a player like Dwyane Wade or Kyrie Irving beside him.
However, by no means was Arenas bashing LeBron with this post. In fact, he simply was explaining that the Cavaliers star is too much of a team player and that will always separate him from Jordan and Bryant. He even states at the end that LeBron hasn’t even tapped into his ability to be the greatest, yet he still could end up being one of the best all time when it’s all set and done.
Thanks, Gilbert, for the hot take we’ve all been patiently waiting for.
