The median salary for a United States fire fighter ranges between $38-$50k depending upon the city, state and time of service. Most people wouldn’t enter a burning building for any amount of money, let alone for $20/hour.
Although not every fire fighter is battling massive blazes each week, they still encounter numerous terrifying situations, such as a recent house fire in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
