On Monday, Jordan Spieth’s British Open seemed to be in peril after he double-bogeyed the 8th hole.
However, Spieth was able to fight his way back and he was able to climb his way back to the top of the leaderboard thanks to this amazing birdie putt on the 16th hole. Thanks to his clutch play, Spieth now shares the lead with Zach Johnson, who is done for the day and Marc Leishman, who is currently on the 18th.
Making Spieth’s shot even more impressive is the fact that the 16th hole has not been kind to players at the tournament.
Putt by Jordan Spieth that pulled him into tie for lead was only the THIRD birdie on No. 16 today – 3rd hardest hole today
