Geraint Thomas somehow managed to retain his sixth overall position in the Tour de France despite a wicked crash that could’ve been much worse. The Welsh rider was smacked by Warren Barguil during Monday’s 16th Stage, sending him barreling out of control toward the street barriers.
He proceeded to flip over the weak rope barrier and smack a pole before being helped back onto the course by bystanders:
