The Pacific Crest Trail stretches 2,660 miles from the California United States-Mexico border to the Washington United States-Canada border. It runs along the highest sections of the gorgeous Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain ranges, both of which sit between 100-200 miles east of the U.S. Pacific coast.
The official trail was only completed in 1993 and although it’s popular among long-distance hikers, it still remains relatively quiet. One man recently completed the trek and filmed exactly 1 second from each day to create an awesome video compilation:
